Joshua Peguero is a reporter for KLAS and is happy to call Las Vegas home after spending four years working at television news stations in the Midwest.
A proud New Yorker, Joshua was first introduced to journalism as a kid by his grandmother in West Harlem. She would watch local television news to learn how to speak English having emigrated from the Dominican Republic. It’s a foundation that propelled him into this career.
His love of journalism was further supported in his third grade classroom at the Emily Dickinson School in Manhattan. He was encouraged by one of his teachers to write and read the paper to stay informed and engaged about the world.
Joshua has traveled across the United States for TV news jobs in cities such as D.C.; Fort Smith, Arkansas; Abilene, Texas; Fargo, North Dakota; and Green Bay, Wisconsin
He’s a graduate of Columbia’s Journalism School and held internships at TV news stations in New York City and at the financial news wire Thomson Reuters.
