Julia was hired as a digital content producer at 8 News Now in 2021. She’s been a resident of Las Vegas since 2010.
Previously she worked as a newscast producer at a Las Vegas television station for seven years. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Julia worked as an on-air news reporter, anchor, and producer.
She received a Regional Edward R. Murrow and Emmy Award for breaking news coverage during the 1 October shooting in 2017. Julia produced the first four hours of breaking news coverage that evening and into the early morning hours the following day.
She previously received three Emmy nominations from 2014 to 2017 for breaking news coverage involving two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers who were ambushed and killed while on their lunch break, and 2015 for breaking news coverage of a deadly Las Vegas Strip crash in 2015, and a third nomination for special team coverage of the 1 October shooting in 2017.
Julia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication.
