The Las Vegas Raiders are wrapping up their season as they take on the Denver Broncos at Allegiant Stadium this afternoon.

The Raiders are looking to defeat their AFC West rivals for the seventh consecutive game and finish the 2023-24 season with their eighth win.

To do that, though, they will have to continue to play at a high level defensively. That has not been a problem under Interim Coach Antonio Pierce and Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham.

While the Raiders will get great production out of their top defenders, like defensive end Maxx Crosby, a few players will need to step up and have strong performances.

Let’s look closer at three defensive X-factors for the Raiders as they take on the Broncos.

Cornerback Jack Jones - The Raiders will face a crop of tough Broncos wide receivers, so the secondary must be prepared.

Jack Jones has been an excellent midseason addition for the Raiders, and now, he will face a tough test from Denver. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton is having a very good season with 770 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Jones’ ability to slow down Sutton and the rest of the Broncos’ outside pass-catchers will be crucial for a Raiders victory.

Defensive end Tyree Wilson - The Raiders’ pass rush has a chance to have a big day.

Right tackle Mike McGlinchey is out for the game with a rib injury, so Tyree Wilson could see a favorable match-up. According to Pro Football Focus, Wilson has produced 11 total pressures in the last four games.

With McGlinchey out of the lineup, Wilson has a chance to get after quarterback Jarrett Stidham and disrupt the flow of the Broncos’ offense. He has improved in the second half of the season and could close out his rookie season with a strong game.

Linebacker Divine Deablo could be an X-factor for the Las Vegas Raiders vs. the Denver Broncos.

Linebacker Divine Deablo - The Broncos have dangerous runners in their backfield, so Deablo must use his speed to stop them.

Running backs Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin have both had strong seasons, combining for over 1,100 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Deablo is having the best season of his career with a career-high 96 tackles. He must be a difference-maker in the middle of the field to prevent the Broncos’ skill players from making an impact.

The Silver and Black finish the 2023 NFL Regular season this weekend at home by hosting their AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos.
